That's what brought me here, travelling with my father, a fisherman. My name is Ullther, but everyone calls me Piscarius because I used to be a fishmonger. I don't sell fish any more. Twenty years ago I married a beautiful girl whose father was a cobbler here in Eboracum. Her father was a retired legionary and her mother a native girl. Her father taught me his trade and made me his partner. When he died, I became the boss of this manufactory, which makes sandals for the local soldiers. I took his praenomen and nomen, and now I'm Marcus Aurelius Piscarius.
